STAY IN TUNE WITH YOUR MATES
Release Date: 20 January 2012
It’s Big Day Out (BDO) time again and this year Lifeline is stoked to be partnering with the legendary Big Skate Show, headed in 2012 by none other than Tony Hawk.
“We are super excited about partnering with the Big Skate Show this year, especially since they are back on the BDO tour after being away for ten years. I’m sure the show will be bigger than ever.” Lifeline’s National Marketing Coordinator, Maria Aloe, said today.
Since 1999, Lifeline has partnered with the BDO organisers to proactively promote positive messages about youth suicide prevention through Lifeline’s national youth initiative – UpBeat.
“Being UpBeat is about beating the blues. It’s about staying in tune with your mates and knowing when to ask for help.”
“UpBeat is about helping a mate. “
Lifeline volunteers will be at all Australian shows handing out free sweat bands and information about the UpBeat service. You’ll find them around the Big Skate vert ramp and signing tent between
12-4pm.
“So drop-in to the ramp for a visit and grab your UpBeat info and your free sweat band, both essential summer festival items if you ask me.”
Big Day Out 2012 dates:

26 January – Sydney
29 January - Melbourne
