StandBy Response Service (Qld, WA, TAS, ACT)

The StandBy Response Service provides people bereaved by suicide with access to timely support and clear pathways to care at 9 locations across Australia. The service provides immediate response to people bereaved by suicide via its 24-hour crisis response telephone number.

ARBOR (WA)

ARBOR is a Perth based outreach service for people bereaved by suicide. It works closely with other support services and the community to provide support services, information and resources for people bereaved by suicide.

Help is at Hand: a resource for people bereaved by suicide and other sudden, traumatic death (UK)

Help is at Hand is a UK resource aimed at the wide range of people who are affected by suicide or other sudden, traumatic death. It aims firstly to help people who are unexpectedly bereaved in this way. It also provides information for healthcare and other professionals who come into contact with bereaved people, to assist them in providing help and to suggest how they themselves may find support if they need it.

American Association of Suicidology - Survivors (USA) website has lots of great suicide bereavement resources. The SOS Handbook is designed to be a pocket-sized, quick-reference booklet for suicide survivors. Written by fellow survivor Jeffrey Jackson, it is brief, clear, and packed with essential information covering nearly every aspect of the survivor ordeal - from the emotional roller-coaster, to the elusive quest for "Why?", to how to locate a US support group.

SPAN USA

The Suicide Prevention Action Network is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preventing suicide through public education and awareness, community action and federal, state and local grassroots advocacy. Their goal was to create a way for survivors of suicide - those who have lost someone to suicide - to transform their grief into positive action to prevent future tragedies.
