The Lifeline Information Service is a nationwide service providing mental health and self-help resources. These resources are accessible by a national number 1300 13 11 14 Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm or online.
The Lifeline Information Service provides information and referral for people dealing with mental health issues, personally or as a family member or friend of someone with mental illness.
This service also provides callers with information about relevant local services, as well as links to books and websites.
The Lifeline Information Service provides access to a variety of self-help tool kits with information about issues such as mental illness, depression, suicide prevention, and more.
Resources provided by the Lifeline Information Service are available to anyone who may want to access them. They are easy to understand and simple to follow. These resources can provide useful information which may help you to understand the difficulties you or someone you know are facing and may provide some tips for dealing with various mental health issues.
Lifeline Information Service on 1300 13 11 14 is currently staffed between 9am and 5pm (AEST), Monday to Friday. For after-hours calls there is a voice mail system that can be used to leave messages. These messages will be attended to the next working day. Alternatively you can send an email to infoservice@lifeline.org.au
The Lifeline Information Service is not a counselling service. For 24-hour telephone counselling call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
