How Can I Help?

If you would like to help the Lifeline Mountains to Murray centre there are several opportunites to participate.

Here are some of the ways we need your help...

As our centre for this region is located in Albury Wodonga it is useful if you are within easy access to the local region. This is neccessary if you would like to become a Telephone Counsellor or perhaps work in the Lifeline Opportunity Shop, however making financial donation, becoming a Coporate Sponsor, offering to host our Static Display or displaying posters & marketing material in your place of work can happen in any area.

For more information on any of the above ways to help out please email our Acting Manager - Lisa vanEgmond on lvanegm@bigpond.net.au

Just a couple of hours of your time per week could make a such a difference to the community. Depending on your area of interest or professional expertise. Please call our centre on 02 60211077 if you would like to participate.

You can make a difference.

Lifeline is seeking volunteers from the community who are interested in becoming volunteer Telephone Counsellors.

As you may be aware, Lifeline provides an invaluable service to the Albury, Wodonga and surrounding community.

Every year Lifeline volunteers help thousands of people who need a caring person to speak with. Every year hundreds of suicides are prevented in our communities due to the dedication and generosity of volunteers, who also deal with many other important issues that trouble people such as depression, loneliness, relationship problems, financial and family issues.

In order to provide this service Lifeline needs to recruit additional Volunteer Telephone Counsellors.

Lifeline Mountains to Murray will be running our next Volunteer Telephone Counselling course starting 21st February 2009.

Becoming a Telephone Counselor not only supports those in need, but also offers our volunteers personal rewards such as:
