Plans are well underway for the 2010 Autumn Lifeline Big Book Fair, taking place at the Kembla Grange Racecourse between 26th and 28th March 2010.
Nearly 50,000 books have been sorted and packed by our hard working volunteers and will be displayed in more than 50 categories. As usual, there will be something there for everyone, no matter what their interest may be: fiction; non-fiction; reference; hobbies; travel; children’s books; art; science; literature; history; biographies; old, rare or just interesting.
But we are always looking for more. You can donate books, new or old, to Lifeline South Coast at the Lifeline Shops in Wollongong, Unanderra or Kiama or the Lifeline Warehouse in Auburn St Wollongong. Wollongong City and Shellharbour City Libraries including Wollongong, Warrawong, Dapto, Helensburgh, Unanderra, Warilla, Oak Flats and Albion Park libraries are all acting as collection points as is Kiama Library. All 26 Southern.IML Pathology collection centres across the Illawarra and South Coast are year-round collection centres. Visit www.southernpath.com.au for the centre closest to you.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with the event. They may be required to
· Set-up and pack-up the event
If you think you can help, download the information booklet and application form from the volunteer with us (internal link) page or contact the Lifeline South Coast administration office on 02 4228 1311.
