Recruitment

Do you value people?

Would you like to contribute to your community?

Are you willing to lend a hand - or an ear?

More than 95% of people who work for Lifeline South Coast are volunteers. But because people's circumstances change, we are always seeking new volunteers to join our team.

Volunteer roles include:

Volunteer Telephone Counsellors

To become an accredited telephone counsellor with Lifeline South Coast you will need to successfully complete the Telephone Counsellor Training Course and pass the Working with Children check.

The Telephone Counsellor Training Course has both written and practical elements and takes about 18 months to complete.

There will be training courses held in both the Wollongong and Nowra centres. The information and selection evenings will be held in late February and throughout March with the course due to start in April 2009.

If you are interested in finding out more, please request an information booklet and application form from the Lifeline South Coast administration office on 02 4228 1311 between 9am and 3pm weekdays.

The 2009 Telephone Counsellor Training Course is proudly sponsored by BlueScope Steel.

People wishing to work in our retail positions need to be well presented, pleasant and able to present a positive image of Lifeline to our customers.

All retail staff will receive training in Lifeline South Coast operations.
