Lifeline Australia

Connect with someone who cares

Save time, save a tree, save a life this Christmas. By sending a Lifeline e-card this Christmas, you will be directly supporting Lifeline’s mental health support services, such as 24 hour telephone counselling and suicide prevention programs.

Christmas should be a time of happiness and celebrations; a time with friends and family.  However for many, Christmas is a difficult time of loneliness, isolation, violence, family and relationship problems, or even thoughts of suicide.

While most Australians are enjoying their Christmas lunch or opening presents, Lifeline volunteers will be tirelessly giving their time to answer calls on Lifeline’s 24 hour telephone counselling line, to provide care and support to those who are doing it tough. At Lifeline we believe that no one should have to face their troubles alone.

Spare a thought for others who may be experiencing difficult times or going through a crisis this Christmas. By making a donation you can help Lifeline to continue providing vital mental health support programs that connect over one million Australians with care via phone, web and face-to-face services every year.

That’s why buying an eCard really can be a gift to those in need - a gift of care and support.

Send an e-card in three simple steps:

  1. Make a secure online donation
  2. Create and personalise your individual and corporate message
  3. Email to your Christmas list

Everyone who receives your card will know that you’re supporting Lifeline. They may even choose to do the same.

Life Facts

We assist people in need, with difficulties like depression, anxiety, hoplessness, relationship breakdowns, drug and alcohol abuse, financial problems and suicidal behaviour.

Life Tips

Avoid using alcohol or other non-prescribed drugs to cope with your anxiety. Coffee, tea and cola contain caffeine (a brain stimulant) and because panickers are over-stimulated, excessive intake of caffeine may worsen the problem.
