LIFELINE WESTERN SYDNEY AND PARRAMATTA MISSION CARE FOR CARERS PROJECT
There are many people in the community who are CARING for a family member or friend with a MENTAL ILLNESS or MENTAL DISORDER; some common one are :DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, SCHIZOPHRENIA, BI-POLAR DISORDER and PERSONALITY DISORDERS. Caring can be difficult and carers often talk of feeling overwhelmed and tired. Some of this can be due to complex emotions, such as GRIEF, LOSS, DEPRESSION and LONELINESS.
PARRAMATTA MISSION and LIFELINE WESTERN SYDNEY aim to meet the needs of people who are caring for a person with a mental illness or disorder. Our program of WELLBEING and SUPPORT GROUPS are being offered in Parramatta and Blacktown. Carers are invited to attend if they or the person they care for live within the local government areas of AUBURN, BAULKHAM HILLS, BLACKTOWN, HOLROYD and PARRAMATTA. The aim is to assist carers with SUPPORT, INFORMATION and COPING SKILLS.
