Drought Tool Kit - practical tips for getting through the drought.
We are pleased to offer this tool kit for people living in drought affected communities. It has been designed to provide practical tips to assist those living in drought affected areas to care for themselves and those around them.
Rural people are known for their resilience, but prolonged drought can really put this to the test.
Staff in our Lifeline Centres – half of which are in rural and regional locations – have identified the need for this toolkit as a way of supporting people in their communities to take care of themselves.
The information we provide here aims to equip people with the knowledge & confidence they might need to start the conversation. It is a reminder to the community that they are in the position to help their friends, loved ones and neighbours.
As always, we remind community members that if they or someone they know is in crisis or needs a confidential talk with someone who will listen without judgement, please call our Lifeline on 13 11 14 (24 hours / 7 days) or access our service through webchat at www.lifeline.org.au/get-help (7 - midnight / 7 days). If life is in danger, please call 000.
