2020 Information Session for volunteer Crisis Supporters

The next Information Session to become a volunteer Crisis Supporter for Lifeline Ballarat is scheduled for Tuesday 18 February 2020 from 6pm-7pm in the Peart Wing, 103 Lydiard Street South, Ballarat.
Please note attendance at an information session is required to be considered for the next intake of the Crisis Supporter Workplace Training which will begin in 2020. This is the training that all volunteers must complete to become a volunteer Crisis Supporter. If you want to be kept informed about the information session and the next intake of volunteers, send us an email and we will keep you informed.

safeTALK - Suicide Alert Training
The Ballarat and District Suicide Prevention Network funds Lifeline Ballarat to deliver suicide alert workshops which are free to the Ballarat and District Community.
safeTALK is a three hour suicide alertness workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) - March 26 2020
ASIST is a LivingWorks product delivered by accredited LivingWorks trainers.
Attend this training and learn to apply a suicide intervention model. It will help you recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide. You will learn how to explore and connect with a person in ways that help you to understand and clarify the risk, increase their immediate safety and link them with further help.

2020 Domestic Violence Training
Lifeline Ballarat is pleased to offer Domestic Violence Awareness training. We are planning the delivery of several Domestic Violence training sessions to be delivered from February 2020. Please stay tuned for more information.
Out of the Shadows Walk 2020
The Out of the Shadows walk is a Lifeline event hosted by the Ballarat & District Suicide Prevention Network and is held to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10 every year. Lifeline Ballarat is a proud partner of the network. Join us as we walk to raise awareness, remember those lost to suicide and unite in a commitment to prevent further deaths by suicide.
Date: Saturday 12 September 2020
Time: 5:10am registration for a 5:30am start
Where: Rotunda near Pipers Restaurant, Wendouree Parade, Ballarat
