NAIDOC Football and Netball Carnival 2017
Updated October 15 2017
Lifeline was represented at the NAIDOC Football and Netball Carnival on the weekend of October 14 and 15 2017 in Ballarat. Two local Indigenous teams called themselves Team Lifeline to encourage members of their communities to remember to reach out for help when people are struggling with life. With a huge turnout of athletes, families and friends and 16 football teams and 45 netball teams from across Victoria competing it was a great opportunity to remind everyone that help is a phone call away.

Volunteer Telephone Crisis Supporter Workplace Training
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Attend a two day workshop and learn to apply a suicide intervention model. It helps caregivers recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide. It then explores how to connect with them in ways that understand and clarify that risk, increase their immediate safety and link them with further help.
Our next ASIST workshop will be held on Friday and Saturday February 23 and 24, 2018.
The event flyer is here. The cost is $330.00 (GST incl) per person. A light lunch is included on both days.
