If life is in danger
call 000

You are not alone. We're here to listen.

Every 30 seconds, a person in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for help.

We are a national charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

We exist so that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers are the backbone of Lifeline.  They are unified in their purpose to make connections, bring hope and save lives.  We need passionate and committed volunteers who value the opportunity to connect with others and believe that every life is worth saving.  Please join us to help ensure that no call for help goes unanswered.

How you can make a difference

Every contact can offer hope and it is devastating that we don’t have the resources to answer every call immediately. We rely on our donors and partners to keep the lines running.

Shaping the conversation around suicide

We're committed to empowering Australians to be suicide-safe through advocacy, education and providing important opportunities for connection.
