Impact & achievements

Lifeline plays a leading role in delivering suicide prevention, crisis support and mental health services across Australia.

Our helplines and services play a critical role in providing support to help seekers. Our network of 17 member organisations, 43 centres, and over 10,000 volunteers help ensure that no one has to face their toughest moments alone.

  • Here are some of the ways Lifeline made an impact during the financial year 2024-25:

  • Lifeline responded to more than 1.32 million help seeker contacts across our phone, web chat, and text services.

  • Our crisis supporters developed over 52,000 safety plans with help seekers.

  • Over 369,000 active users turned to our Support Toolkit for self-led support.

  • 13YARN crisis supporters answered over 25,000 calls.

  • Over 6,000 people participated in our nationally recognised DV-alert training.
