About

Research & reports

An important part of our work is understanding and challenging the social elements that impact suicide.

Presentation

The Lifeline research office

The Lifeline Research Office informs world leading research and advocacy to enhance our services and support, so we continue to meet the needs of all Australians in crisis.

We do this by working with people with lived and living experience, suicide prevention researchers, and others to rigorously generate new evidence-based insights and support implementation of that new knowledge into our service offerings.

Not only do we use the evidence base to inform how we support people in crisis: We use it to support all of Lifeline’s activities including raising public awareness, building understanding in the community, and advocating for effective non-clinical responses to suicide prevention and crisis support across Australia.
