Available 24/7, Full Stop is a counselling service for anyone impacted by domestic and family violence.

Full Stop counsellors are trained trauma specialists who can:

  • Listen without judgement
  • Offer ways to help you understand what you're going through
  • Teach you practical ways to cope with tough emotions
  • Help you talk to family and friends
  • Give advice on reporting to the police or getting medical help
  • Provide referrals to other services who can work with you to find further support options.

Full Stop is for anyone impacted by domestic and family violence.

This includes people who suspect or know they're being abused as well as concerned friends, family members, colleagues, classmates, employers, community members, and frontline workers.

People who contact Full Stop are often seeking help to:

  • Manage feelings of distress, loneliness, and agitation
  • Understand the impacts of the violence on their lives
  • Work on strategies to cope with the effects of the violence and abuse. Effects can include things like trauma, panic attacks, depression, loneliness, shame, insomnia, anger, self-blame, physical symptoms, and/or disruption to other relationships.
  • Understand the medical, legal, and face-to-face counselling options available.
  • Understand how they can best help someone they know.
